We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to kickstart their career in the IT & Digital field. As an IT Trainee, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to provide you with hands-on experience, practical skills, and in-depth knowledge across various aspects of information technology.
Your tasks
Our trainee program is designed for 1 year in which you will learn more about OMV Group, the Energy & Chemicals industry, our strategy, the digital transformation journey, and our information technology organization. During the program you will be assigned to at least 2 of the below mentioned departments depending on your profile and you will contribute to the service delivery, projects, technology, and conceptual developments:
- CIO & Digital Office (Strategy, IT Architecture, Portfolio Management, Digital Innovation)
- Corporate and Common Applications (SAP, ServiceNow, MS Power Platform, SaaS)
- IT Infrastructure (Cloud, API & AI platform development, IaC, Cyber Defense, Digital Workplace)
- IT Project Management
- Information Security Governance
The program is accompanied by a tailored training program, field trips to our locations and networking events.
After successfully completing your trainee program, we will invite you to apply for a position in one of our IT departments depending on your previous program assignments and focus areas.
Your profile
- University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science/AI, Software Engineering, Project Management, Consulting Services or Business Administration and up to a maximum of two years of work experience.
- Passion for technology and eagerness to learn and grow in the field of digitalization, with a focus on AI, Data, and Platforms
- Good understanding of AI & Machine Learning, Data Science, and Cloud Computing.
- Interest for software applications & digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft, SAP, ServiceNow).
- Experience with software development and delivery (CI/CD) preferrable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge in Microsoft 365.
