About the team and the role:
eBay is looking for an expert Tax professional for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst role! You will work on multiple projects and deliverables as assigned from the America’s indirect tax team as well as support new business initiatives and tax requirements. Working on a large cross functional team will be a daily occurrence. We are excited to have you consider this role!
What you will accomplish:
- Support new tax legislation requirements
- Perform ad-hoc technical research
- Assist with M&A integration activity as needed
- Review category mappings and support AI learning for enhanced taxability
- Assist with gathering and analyzing large sets of data
- Assist with tax refund partner concerns related to taxability issues and buyer exemptions
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Product and Engineering, Finance, Shared Services, and the broader Tax Team
What you will bring
- 3-5 years of related indirect tax experience. Big 4 experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with emphasis in Finance, Information Systems, or Accounting. Advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus
- CMI certification preferred; CPA a plus
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule in an eBay office preferred
- Experience with U.S. sales & use taxes is required; understanding of marketplace facilitator legislation preferred
- Familiarity with Canada, Mexico, and other global VAT regimes a plus
- Knowledge of indirect tax trends in the digital economy preferred
- Capable of supporting indirect tax projects with cross-functional dependencies
- Demonstrated passion and track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment
- Strong attention to detail, problem resolution and mitigation skills
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner both written and verbally
- Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and tax research tools required
- Experience and working knowledge of Vertex O-Series preferred
- Experience with Alteryx and other data wrangling tools preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$88,000 - $137,500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
