Your challenges
As IT Director you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital strategy, ERP systems, business applications. You will be managing the IT organization in VELUX Commercial, supervising the budget, monitor the digital project portfolio and ensure that VELUX Commercial digital solutions are secure and compliant with VELUX Group security requirements. Working closely with the VELUX Commercial CEO & senior leadership team and VELUX Group IT & Digital Enablement leaders the candidate will be a driving force in our organization’s digital transformation.
This position reports to the CEO of VELUX Commercial.
Your primary tasks include:
- Ensure that digital initiatives are fully integrated with the strategic-planning process, including leadership commitment and resource allocation.
- Inspire the organization in how to use the digital technology and promote the digital mindset from the top down. Identify and evaluate usability of new tools (e.g. new SW, AI/ML, …) that can support and enhance our solutions.
- Be accountable for ERP platform (Navision/Business Central) across the whole organization (from Sales through Supply & Logistics to Finance) – from support through development to analyzing and implementing new features supporting business process.
- Be responsible for development and support of IT Business Applications landscape – both internally and with IT&DE and external vendors.
- Manage documenting the IT Business Application landscape by using Enterprise Architecture framework.
- Oversee the people, processes and technologies within the IT organization to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the business.
- Lead and develop an internal team of IT professionals. Manage the collaboration with external partners.
- Supervise the IT budget and ensure that technology investments are aligned with the company's business goals.
- Define, report to Commercial Leadership Team/CEO and follow-up on IT performance metrics (financial, projects-related and user satisfaction).
- Own and monitor the IT driven digital project portfolio.
Your qualifications
We expect that you have:
- At least five years of experience in a similar IT leadership role
- Proven leadership of successful digital projects
- Understanding of core business processes and their associated technical solutions
- An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
- Experience in managing and leading a digital team (incl. remote team members)
- Proven skills for influencing and collaborating with coworkers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Solid understanding of digital security principles
Would be beneficial to have:
- An interest in all aspects of running a commercial business enabling the proper engagement in the senior leadership team
- Advanced degree in technology
- Experience with Navision/Business Central ERP
- Enterprise Architecture knowledge
- Understanding of Make-To-Order / Project-based business and process flows
- Experience from manufacturing/construction industry
